I think this world spoken about in hunger games is called a dystopia because it is undesirable and frightening, but also science fiction. This world also has dehumanization. Things that are not real or human are set in the arena. The hunger games is also a dictatorship. President Snow controls all of Panem. Snow controls everything including the misery of all the citizens. The government controls its population by injuring humans and leaving them in a constant state of fear. Alsocreating violence in youths. The districts are all kept captive. Through laws, sanctions, electric fences, and deprivation. The Hunger Games is a reminder of the worlds past rebellion. To remind them of how powerless they now are, and that they own them now. I found that Cinna chose the idea of the girl on fire for many reasons. Katniss first vs society when her little sister prim is chosen in the hunger games. She has to volunteer as tribute to save her. I think this scene makes her change and grow the most of out any part in the book. She has to grow up and prepare to survive she had no choice. I also think Katniss vs society when she has a short memorial for Rue. All of Rue’s district witnessed it along with Rue’s partner. This gives her bread as a sign of thanks and respect from Rue’s district. This also saves her life when she comes face to face between Rue’s partner and he let’s her run just this once, in thanks once again. I think all if this gives her hope. The last but not least scene, I find Katniss vs society is when the capitol tries to rescind the rule change. Announcing that there can only be one tribute to win. She verses the whole capitol when she pulls out the blueberries to betray the whole hunger games. In all three scenes she’s facing the capitol, the districts and every person
