The impact of Technology is so much that it touches every part of the world and even beyond – considering the fact that visits to planets outside the Earth was made possible largely by technology. Since the debut of the first newspaper in 1863 and the commencement of radio broadcast in the 1950s, mass communication has advanced tremendously in Nigeria. Apart from a multiplicity of mass media houses that the country now boasts of, there is also the social network through which information is disseminated instantaneously through the internet. Such information about happenings in the country is available for consumption in any part of the world. All this is made possible by modern technology. Besides, the print and electronic media in Nigeria now use advanced devices in printing and in communication.
Financial Transactions
As is happening in many other parts of the world, financial transactions can now be carried out through electronic devices in any part of Nigeria that has an Internet facility. This is made possible by communication technology. Apart from the ease of clearance in the bank, financial transactions now take place on mobile devices, automatic machine (ATM), Point of Sale devices (POS) etc. through it, business transactions can take place across different borders of the world without face to face interactions.
