As times change, the number one growing industry around the world is hospitality. Hospitality is the key to every successful company weither it be a hotel, restaurant, Movie Theater, or retail store. Any company can have a great core product, but if they are lacking in supplementary products such as enhancing elements or facilitating elements in which hospitable reasoning is involved in, then they will have put there company in an almost impossible passion for their core product to succeed. Pulling into the parking lot customers smell the amazing aroma trickling from the restaurant.
I am highly motivated and work hard when I am given any kind of work or challenge. I have a strong passion fro working in the hospitality industry because it allows me to meet people from all different backgrounds. In addition, I am able to proved them with excellent customer service. Furthermore, I am a dependable individual that shows up on time. I put my best effort and complete all my duties to the best of my abilities.
For my career plans for the first five years after I graduate from the CIA, I plan on getting a job at a five star restaurant or in any culinary field gaining experience on any food industry. This will allow me access to international or national career opportunities. While working in the food industry, I plan on going back to school to get my bachelor’s degree in culinary arts. This will benefit me by developing my culinary skills even further. The next step that I would take is to enroll in the French Institute and pursue my associates and bachelor’s degree in baking and pastry.
The work environment can change drastically because some places the temperature is warm. Other places can be very cold. For example, in the arctic waters the water can be below freezing, but in other places the water can be very warm. In different climates, there are different things that live there. For example, in cold waters, you might find penguins, wales, or seals.
I have worked in the Hospitality Industry for a long time. I began working at sixteen years old. Following two years of work, I was Promoted to Front Desk Manager. There are numerous factors to be considered, but political, economic, and social are three of the most influential. These outside factors sway managerial operational decisions daily regarding personnel, spending, policy, and short-term and long-term strategic planning concerning both core and exterior operations. As within every industry, the hospitality industry has unmanageable elements that affect management or ownership of hospitality establishments (Lewis 2017). Understanding these factors is important because it provides an opportunity for contingency planning (Lewis, 2017).
In hospitality industry, there are many issues, challenges and trends that a hotel or a restaurant might face. In recent years, cultural diversity in the workplace has become a major in hospitality industry. This paper concentrates on discussing about the current situation of cultural diversity in the workplace of hospitality industry, then analyzing some benefits and challenges of cultural diversity in hospitality organizations and giving practical recommendations that help hospitality organizations to deal with cultural diversity issues. Diversity is defined as the differences among people. Cultural diversity means that the differences between people in gender, traditions, language, etc.
The hospitality industry is composed of company which focus on customer satisfaction namely, restaurants, retail or accommodation. All the influences I have had over time have formed my idea of the perfect occupation, that fits my personality and interests. The careers I have based my future life plans are a pharmacist or a certified registered nurse anesthetist. Both of these careers require a great deal of school and hard work. My decision of these careers was influenced by both of them being within the medical field, and also both focus on helping people.
Results Content analysis revealed that three major factors influence the career-shift process: individual factors, social factors and relational factors. Individual factors were further divided into mid-level categories: individual values, personality, motivation, health issues, vision, and introspection process. Social factors were also broken down into mid-level categories that are support from others, social values and occupational experiences. The only subcategory under relational factors is the person-occupation incongruence. Mid-level categories under individual and social factors revealed subcategories, too.
