Lacrosse is a team game, it is originally played by the Native Americans, in which it can be thrown, caught, and carried with a long-handled stick with a curve L-shape and netting attach with the frame. It is an exhilarating sport that requires speed and long sprints with precision passes, scoops, and dodges. But, throughout the season it had I taught me alot during these past games it didn’t really matter when we lost or not. What it taught me is that putting in effort and attitude in doing your best each and everyday coming to practices to put in the work. It takes baby steps to become a great lacrosse player. Not only that, the most important things that I learn so far was being mentally strong, confidence ,and the skills for a lacrosse goalie. Confidence can lead you into your goals if you believe in your abilities to perform well. For instance, when I am outside the field inside my cage and the driver is coming towards me, and when the driver tries to shoot. I always attempt to block even though sometimes it goes in, but with confidence I have faith in my abilities in what I can do. At times when I look at the scoreboard I don’t see it as winning, but the goals I prevent to go in it motivates me to keep on blocking. It demonstrates that if I have the prime confidence throughout the whole game with resilience it keeps me confident and keep doing what I am suppose to do. It encourages me to go through into difficult situations with tough opponents that I never face before. It motivates me to do better with faith that I have will help me to perform well.
