All around the world every second there are car accidents, where people end up being injured and losing their lives. Road traffic crashes rank ninth leading cause of death and account for 2.2% of all deaths globally (N/A, 2014). Cars have been modified and made safe over a period, where now they are safer than before. Science has been playing a very crucial role in this, where different safety measures have been invented to keep the people inside the car safe. For example: there is airbag, sit belt, different types of tires that have different amount of friction, these tires are used depending on the surface on which the car is driving. There are also other inventions such as crumple zone. According to ASIRT road traffic accidents are predicted to become the fifth leading cause of death by 2030, so scientists are trying to invent new safety measures that help to reduce road accidents. As the number of vehicles in the world are increasing, the number of road accidents are rapidly increasing, resulting to increase in the number of deaths. The roads built in many countries, especially in the developing countries cannot accommodate the number of cars, which results in more car accidents. According to ASIRT nearly 1.3 million people die in road crashes each year, on average 3,287 deaths a day. (N/A, 2014) That is a huge number and it brings a lot of problem to the world.
