19th Century Goldfields, It 's been really hard finding Gold in the New South Wales Goldfields. I would go to places where the gold would be already found or there hadn’t been any gold there before. I don’t know why i did that but i was in a hurry to catch gold. When i went digging i wasn’t aloud to bring my women with me because it will make the other types of diggers educated and they would of become much more suspicious of them.
“The Lorax” is a popular children’s book written by Dr. Seuss, but did you know that is has a special meaning? Easter Island is famously known for its large statues, but did you know that it once had a population of nearly twelve thousand people? Both “The Lorax” and Easter Island were both affected by the effects of humans destroying the environment. In “The Lorax”, the Once-ler discovered land that appeared to have never been disturbed by humans before.
A subtropical wilderness with grass marshes, forests thick with trees hundreds of years old and hardwood hammocks (trees that only grow a few inches tall but packed very close together but can take up acres). Seems like a place to protect. Ever since the 1900 draining of the everglades, the ecosystem has shrunk by 50%. People did not see how important the Florida everglades where. The effect of the polluted water in the everglades is causing problems for both people and the inhabitants of the everglades.
The Bathurst region was originally occupied by the Wiradjuri Aboriginal people. In 1814, Governor Lachlan Macquarie approved an offer by William Cox to build a road crossing the Blue Mountains, from Emu Plains, the existing road terminus west of Sydney, to the Bathurst Plains.
Discovery of Gold The discovery of gold introduced immigrants, gold rushers, miners, loggers, railroads and infrastructure community to Washington State. The immigrants or settlers came to Washington to look for gold and the discovery of gold helped increasing the population in Washington. In order for gold to be found, there were prospectors, miners and loggers that were there to find a way to complete their mission by finding gold. After gold has been discovered, it introduced an infrastructure community in small towns across the west.
In my opinion, it was destiny to move West because of the many reasons that I have stated on my poster. One thing that made it destiny to move West was because of the Gold Rush. The Gold Rush made people rich but it also made people poor because people spent money to go looking for gold but didn’t find anything. Another thing that made them think that it was destiny to move West is that they got freedom of religion. A lot of people were not able to support their beliefs but in the West, you can believe in whatever you would like to believe in.
the environment’s quality is diminishing everyday. The future generations will not have a sustainable land with the fertility of soil and rivers like it has
The topic for the first reaction paper is technology and the environmental/ earth sciences. When I was researching articles, the article “The Ocean Could Be the New Gold Rush” caught my attention because I love jewelry, especially expensive jewelry. The only gold rush I have ever learned about is the California Gold Rush that took place in the middle of the nineteenth century and attracted thousands of gold-seekers from around the country and world. However, a gold rush that could take place underwater and project large quantities of precious materials seemed interesting. Brian Clark Howard’s article is fairly recent and discusses the future of underwater mining.
After the gold rush died down in Australia, dredge mining was introduced in Australia to cleft the gold not recoverable by hand. In 1901 dredging commenced in the upper Ovens River, starting in Porepunkah and then moving from Harrietville to Eurobin. Dredging occurred around Nimmo Bridge, Rotary bar and Barwidgee creek. After the major floods of 1917 dredging died down. It was rejected by many landholders around Myrtleford.
Alice Springs is located in the Northern Territory (NT) near the bottom of the NT it is almost directly in-between Adelaide (SA) and Darwin (NT). Alice Springs is located right next to the Simpson Desert which takes up the south-east corner of the NT Border. The coordinates of Alice Springs is 23.6980° S, 133.8807° E. The McDonnell ranges are located right next to Alice Springs and is a popular tourist destination and generates a large amount of revenue for the Alice Springs community. Alice Springs is located in a Desert biome so the growing conditions are a bit more harsh and the plants grown there need to be survivor plants not weak plants.
The movie Blue Gold: Water Wars provided an in depth look into how the scarcity and availability of potable water is drastically effecting everyone around the world. The movie attempts to relay the fact that if we don't change our methodology of conserving water then the world is in for a number of problems. The films begins by describing the plight of a Mexican immigrant traveling across the desert to the United States. The narrator says the man neglected the consumption of water for an entire week. It then goes on to describe the horrifying effects the lack of hydration had on the man’s body.
I. The California Gold Rush is one of the most known gold rushes in the U.S. The phenomenon was started by James Marshall when he found gold in the American River and he said “My heart thumped for I knew it was gold.” Because of his findings the California Gold Rush was born in 1848, then died seven years later in 1855. During these seven years California accumulated over 300,000 people that left their homes to mine for gold.
1. Stanley Pearce and Marshall Bond, two men who organized one of the earliest expeditions of the Klondike Gold Rush. Stanley described the scene this way: “Thousands or people in the public square watched the weather-beaten and hardy adventurers stagger into the express office with sacks of gold, gold in blankets, in oil cans and even in moccasins. He was awaked by his partner, Bond, who in a mysterious voice told me to “hurry up, dress and come.” “Come where,” said I. “Don’t say a word but come,” said he.

The agency of European Environment (EEA) had described the indicators as: parameters or value which derived from the parameters describe the environment situation and its impact to the human beings, material and ecosystem, the pressure on environment, driving forces and responses which steer that system.
