1. The original cell of the society is family. Family is formed by a man and a woman who loves each other and produces off-springs merely because of their love for each other. An individual person’s personality, attitude, and way of living are basically from his/her background of the family. Family is your foundation of your values, security, freedom, and morals in life. Without a good foundation, you will not learn how to properly go with the flow in your community, where there are a lot of things to learn about. People have different attitudes, traditions, and beliefs. You must learn how to socialize with different types of people and especially how to follow rules and government laws. When a man and a woman decided to marry each other, it means that they promise their love facing God and His people in the sacrament of matrimony, saying, “for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, till death do us part.” This basically means, in marriage, spouses are made part of the mystery of death and resurrection of God. Selfishness should be abandoned from that time thereof. Spouses should move together in the name of love and for their family. Sacrifices will be made for the success of their families. A person will do things just to make his/her spouse happy, fulfilled and loved; spouses will work together just to give their children a better future. Spouses should do everything together, to love and understand each other eternally. Nobody should break and tear a spouse no matter what. Honestly, I am feeling overwhelmed by this activity. I realized the true value of my family and how much I should be thankful for having a family with good values and knows how to respect and show their love for each other. My family is quite having struggles for my dad had passed away 9 years ago. I was very young then, but my mom and my two elder siblings never made me feel that we are incomplete just because my dad is not around anymore. They made me still enjoy my childhood and did their best just to teach me good values that I know will surely help me on my future. Now that I am completely a grown-up, I understand all the things that they restricted me to do when I was a child. I can say that they really did a great job on guiding me throughout the way. Me and my family are very open about our feelings and we share all the things that we are experiencing on our daily lives. Of course, we still have our personal spaces and privacy which is a very good thing. I can really say a lot of things when it comes to my family because I am very proud of our relationship. And our family is a testimony of a situation that even though that my mom became a single parent in the most unexpected way, we are still surviving because me and my siblings have good values that our parents had worked hard in molding us into something special and unique.
