DEMOGRAPHIC VARIABLE
In demographics, age is the important variable in determine the method of family planning. Women who are married in age less than 21 have the highest fertility rate compared to those women who married late (Rosnizah Aznie Che Rose and Asmah Ahmad,2010). The research conducted from( M Rakibul Islam and Gunnar Thorvaldsen,2012) claim that older women were more preferred to use contraceptives than those less than 25 years old. M Rakibul also adds that it happens because of unwillingness for older women to give birth to more babies while the younger women who usually do not go outside of their villages could be another factor on the use of contraception.Besides that, gender is another important variable that affect the method …show more content…

She also adds that lacking of knowledge and awareness of young women in contraceptive is a big worry because it can be many problems occur such as abortion,unplanned pregnancy and high risk of mother’s health. Previous studies indicated that knowledge on different method choice and the understanding of the side effects of different methods are the factors related to contraceptive use in family planning (T. Tiztah et al.,2013). According to Consultant of Obstetrics and Gynecology Dr. Jamiyah Hassan (2015), she suggests for all married couples to have knowledge about the method of family planning because each of the married couple have different method depends on their own body. Male involvement in family planning give positive impact on contraceptive use and cause decrease in fertility of the developing world.Thus,men should have knowledge of concept of family planning (Ethiopia demographic Health Survey (EDHS),2011).From the research conducted, both men and women have more knowledge of short-term hormonal methods such as contraceptive pill and injectable contraceptives and limited knowledge on the permanent methods, traditional methods and emergency contraception for family planning (T. Tiztah et al.,2013). The Mru women’s knowledge of family planning is low with 59.1% of respondents never heard of family planning methods or hearing family planning messages. Low level knowledge in Mru women is happen because of no mass media such as no television, no newspapers or mobile communication network
