Is this drought going to be the end of farming in California? If California’s agricultural industry doesn 't get any water, then California farming will be a thing of the past. Farmers need more water or many people will lose their jobs, businesses that depend on farming (grocery stores) will fail, and the rest of the country also won’t get fruit from California.
First of all, if farmers don’t get enough water for their farms, then the employees that work on those farms will have to be let go (fired). All of this they’re putting less money into the local economy.” As a result, without water for farming the crops will die off and farmers will send out less crops for stores.
