For starters so many individuals in the bigger cities of the world, have countless privileges that many people in my hometown can only dream of. They have access to excellent education. Volunteering and helping others can help you reduce stress, fight depression, keep you mentally focused. While it’s true that the more you volunteer, the more benefits you’ll receive, volunteering doesn’t have to involve a long-term commitment or take a huge amount of time out of your day. Giving in simple ways can help others in need and improve one’s health and happiness. Contributing is one of the best ways to make new friends while committing to a shared activity together. Volunteering is a accepting way to meet new people, especially if you are new to an area. It makes your ties to the community stronger. It exposes you to people with common interests, neighborhood resources, and fun and fulfilling activities.While some people are naturally outgoing, others are shy and have a hard time meeting new people. Volunteering gives you the opportunity to develop your social skills, since you are meeting with a group of people with common interests. Once you have a set amount of energy and braveness, it’s easier to come out and make more friends and acquaintances. As we all know children watch everything you do. By giving back to the community, you show them firsthand how volunteering makes a difference and how good it feels to help people and the environment and how it shows a change. Here’s an important life lesson: no matter how bad you think your life is at whatever moment, there’s always someone who has to face obstacles that are more difficult than yours. One way we need to show our appreciation or what we have is by giving back. None of us would be where we are today if it wasn’t for all the circumstances we have grown up around. Therefore, it is not just a great thing to give back, it is our duty to try and make the world a better place for the environment and community. No proven statistics, benefits, or any sort of explanation can persuade you to give back. It is simply your choice of whether you decide to or not.
