In today’s society, where parents, teachers, and elders are no longer given their much honours, respect or rights; basic manners and common sense have made a swift exit, whilst we compete for glory, knowledge, or worldly gain. I saw a quote once: Good manners will often take people where neither money nor education will take them. This is what our society is lacking of. It is the manners which tell apart man from animals. A person without manners can hardly deserve to be called a human being. Good manners indicate polite social behaviour. Developing social relations can be achieved with good manners. They help a person in making a social circle of friends which eventually leads to one 's character as one grows up. The social status of a person is judged by his manners. Polished and polite manners form a noble impact on the society. Learning good manners should be infused early in life and is naturally evolved as children grow.
