The book named in a streetcar named Desire and in a poem called A daily joy to be alive talks about how your identity defines who you are. What makes a person have an identity is how they dress, where they live, or how they live. If a person has a lot of money does that mean they're better than you or should they be more important to you? Why do people judge you on how you look or how you’re dressed? I could have the nicest clothes and the nicest shoes but you would never know if I don’t have a nice house. Money defines your identity. People shouldn’t judge a person based on looks, you can’t judge a person based on their appearance. In the book

She wants people to believe that she has a nice house and is living a luxurious life. When in reality she’s living with her sister and she can’t afford to live anywhere else but Blanche will never admit that she has no money and no place to live her pride is too big. Money doesn’t buy happiness, all it buys is someone's approval and a label for others to treat them with respect. Why does money equal respect is it because when you have money people think that you have a good job and a nice house? You can have money but you may not be happy or nice to others. When

Blanche's standards and she was mad about it. They would make fun of her because she didnt have the money or she didnt dress how Blanche dressed and she felt that she was being judged by her own sister.
