My generation defines what it means to be an American as living in a country that is much more tolerant. Kids in other countries aren’t as fortunate as us for a number of reasons, but one one them is because in other countries the people there are way less tolerant than they are in America. In other countries they don’t have the freedom that we have to do things like practice our own religion and be able to go to school and learn to get us prepared for life when we’re older. My generation is blessed to have been born in such a great country. Something else my generation also thinks of an American identity as is having freedom. I am definitely happy to live in a country where there is democracy. The USA is the great country that it is today because of the huge sacrifices that our military has made for us. As America being the land of the free and the home of the brave, I cannot stretch how lucky my generation is to live in this great country we call home, but like I said before many kids in other countries aren’t as fortunate as us to have these kind of freedoms.
