Situation Analysis Music is the lifetime to the outside world. It is the academic discipline and vital part in the total education program. The former USA president Gerald Ford said “Music Education opens doors that help children pass from the school into the world around them, a world of work, culture, intellectual activity and human involvement. The nation depends on providing our children with complete with education that includes music. Music makes everyone smile, it eases work, and it brings people together especially during occasions and other activities. Music has the power to turn learner into a holistic child. Music creates community, inspires movement, helps with memory, music inspires creativity and music brings out innovations. She also stressed about music and early literacy where singing and music helps children develop early literacy in couple ways. (Brown, 2013)
Research has found that learning music facilitates learning other subjects and enhances skills that children inevitably use in other areas. “A music-rich experience for children of singing, listening and moving is really bringing a very serious benefit to children as they progress into more formal learning,” says Mary Luehrisen, Executive director of the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM).
