Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind and behavior. The central point of psychology is to understand how each person behaves on their own and in groups to try to predict behavior. According to Carl Jung, a person has two personalities, one being more dominant than the other. Extroversion is a behavior in which a person is more comfortable being surrounded by people than being alone; these people are identified as extroverts. On the other hand, introverts enjoy being alone over socializing. Studies have shown that introverts and extroverts are very different from one another. Extroverts are more socially active and carefree, and people always surround them. Extroverts love people, which is why it would be hard for them to have a quiet night alone. Introverts aren’t too comfortable with receiving attention from people unless they are familiar with the audience. Shyness can be found in both introverts and extroverts, which is possibly a result of an unfortunate event or memory from one’s childhood years. The introverts’ behavior is more similar to someone who is shy that is why introverts are known as shy. An example of a shy extrovert is someone who wants to get up and dance, but they don’t dare.
