1Dear Principal Molony, The donated money should be used in the eight grade math and reading classrooms because it will improve the focus and attention of the students. The students' self esteem will go up which will let them participate and do more to benefit the classrooms. They will also be less antsy because they will be focused on work, and not worrying about their uncomfortable seats. Here is what the seats are going to be like: there will be three couches, four to five bean bags, three wiggle seats, one recliner and two big tables the wiggle seats will go on the table chairs.

“That’s what life is all about, isn’t it? Choices, informed decisions... what I do not respect is having my civil liberties stripped away.” , stated by Karin Klein in the short article, Ban the Ban!. Would you want anyone to ban books so you couldn’t further your education? School Board members should not ban certain books because students can get more of a challenge from certain books, you also can get many life lessons from a more mature book, and students also get more of a choice which means more books to read. One reason I believe school board members should not ban books is because it gives students more of a challenge. For example, teachers like to challenge kids to read above their grade level and reading more mature books will get them there. However, how will they get assigned harder or more challenging books if those kinds of books are banned from the school library.
¨Several critics questioned why the city was making proposal on sugary drinks a priority when some city schoolchildren have no physical education classes.¨ (Washington TImes) In New York, Mayor Bloomberg placed a law on the sizes of soda citizens are allowed to get. However, this caused a lot of controversy on whether the ban was good or bad. Despite the amount of people supporting the ban´s choice, the ban does have some downsides on it. It is not a good idea to limit the amount of a soda a person can purchase (or propose the ban) because it's not applying to all, it's taking rights away from people, and itś not a big deal.
They kill the academic environment. The classroom that was supposed to smell of “paper, books, and chalk” now smells McDonalds or coffee or whatever food the students think that they have the right to bring in class. Is it still a suitable place to learn? Can we keep calling classroom? I do not think so.
A recent study shows that two-thirds of students are lacking the vital nutrients the need. I strongly believe that this issue could be resolved with something as simple as removing all unhealthy drink options from school and only serving healthy options such as, water, white milk, and natural fruit juice. First of all, this policy promotes a healthier lifestyle for young adults to live by. Also, this plan would reduce the amount of sugars and toxins that our kids receive. Finailly, this regulation will ensure that students receive the maximum amount of nutrients while at school.
