Setting
The story starts in the northern artic on Walton’s boat sailing north on his journey in the 18th century. The environment is described as a desolate and lonely place.
The story then transitions to Geneva, Switzerland where Victor was raised. This is a place of happiness and peace due to the good memories he had as a child.
Another important place is Ingolstadt. It is where Victor spent countless hours to create the creature. Due to the state of his mental health, the weather, and the lab. Ingolstadt casts an ominous, dreary, and glum shadow.
The rest of the story features countries in Europe including Germany, Ireland, Scotland and England.

The creature finally shows us that he has matured and feels remorse for killing Victor’s family and causing so many problems by crying over Victor’s dead body. Victor’s last wish was to find and neutralize the creature so he wouldn’t cause any more problems. His wishes were fulfilled when the creature killed himself to prevent any more pain and suffering.
