Gun laws are a hot topic in many people’s lives, and far to ignored, for the amount unseen damage they cause in America. The overregulation of gun laws infringes upon the constitution, deters from self-defense, and promotes the illegal transfer of firearms. To begin with, the overregulation of gun laws infringes upon the constitution.
Strict regulations and limitations have been pursued already and clearly do not suffice. Statics brought to attention by gun control opponents, show that gun control laws have done little to reduce crime rates. Several restrictions have been made on certain guns, considered as overly dangerous, though in the hands of an unstable criminal even a legal hunting gun can be deadly. Countless restrictions have been made, however people have still found ways around them. If people are unstable and determined enough, they will find a gun, regardless of the restrictions or regulations.

When it comes to the topic of guns, most of us will readily agree that it is our constitutional right to bare arms. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question of as AR platform and assault rifles. Whereas some are convinced that we should not be able to own them, others maintain that we should be able to own assault rifles. The term “assault weapon” is an invention of pro-gun control politicians that demonizes semi-automatic rifles with certain looks.
Gun violence currently now at an all-time high. What do you think should do about it? Currently, tensions are rising between both sides of the topic of gun control. If you don't know what gun control is, it is a set of laws that'll regulate the manufacture and sales that go along with guns. I'd say, due to the examples provided of evidence in other countries that have stricter gun laws, that we shall be more restrictive guns, but still allow the citizens of the right to self-defense.
In our society, there is a constant battle between political parties and ideologies on what to do regarding gun rights. The argument is whether to maintain the gun laws we have or pass further gun restrictions. I don’t know why this is hard for some people to understand. Criminals, by definition, are people who commit crimes. If criminals do not follow the laws we have now, they will disregard any further restrictions.
Over the course of three years, approximately 160 school shootings have been recorded. Including fatal and nonfatal assaults, suicides, and unintentional shootings. In all, the incidents resulted in 59 deaths and 124 nonfatal gunshot injuries (Analysis of school shootings). It is unreasonable how many innocent lives have been taken away because of these tragedies. Oftentimes when a mass shooting occurs, people debate gun control laws more profoundly.

Amendment two in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights grant the people or citizens of the United States of America the freedom to own guns and the guns cannot be taken away. In December, 1791, Amendment two was ratified and granted citizens freedom by being able to keep and bear Arms (Brooks, The Second Amendment & the Right to Bear Arms). Amendment two is important to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights because the give citizens the right to keep and bear Arms, allows citizens to become safer, and the Amendment helps citizens protect their families and relatives incase of emergencies without being forced to give up their guns. Gun Rights are a reason why Amendment two is important to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The gun
What 's the big deal with guns, regulation on guns, and the second amendment? well, the big idea is the fact that the amount of deaths in the U.S have increased because the number of people with guns without the required paperwork has. They have found that ex-cons usually reoffend without a few months or years of their release. This also includes shooters or people that were convicted of a crime with a concealed weapon. And if it is not known the second amendment does not exactly say that everyone in the U.S is allowed to own a gun for what they want and the government cant do anything about it.
With the rise of school shootings, one would be quick to assume that restricting ownership of firearms would solve the problem. However, the issue stems further than just guns. The tragedy at Virginia Tech may reveal to us something about how a young man could be compelled to commit shocking actions, but it does not advise us very much about gun control. Recently, not many distinguished Americans have tried to use the college massacres as an argument for gun control. A logic for this is that we are in a middle of a presidential race in which popular Republican candidates are mindful that advocating gun control can earn them votes.
Gun control also limits our constitutionally derived right to own firearms. If gun control is enforced, law-abiding citizens will be forced to give up their guns and their right to own guns, while many criminals who own guns may illegally keep theirs. As the saying goes “If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.” Guns are an important aspect of our society in many ways. They allow for protection, recreation, and hunting.
According to German Lopez, a reporter for vox.com, since the Sandy Hook shooting in 2012, “there have been more than 1,600 mass shootings, killing more than 1,800 and wounding more than 6,400” (Lopez). Within a 6 year span, there have been almost 2,000 mass shootings with the most recent being at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. With all of these mass shootings, the topic of gun control has been a huge controversy across the United States. Many people want to make a change and want gun laws to become stricter; however, many people think it is an infringement on their 2nd Amendment right. In order to limit gun violence in the United States, the government needs to make background checks more thorough, ban semi-automatic weapons, and raise the age to purchase a gun.
Gun laws are one of the many laws that are very important everywhere in the world today. Many people argue about gun laws on a daily basis because of how important the laws are. Some categories in the gun laws today are concealed and carry, just owning a gun, and the laws to decrease the number of mass shootings. There are lots of other laws about guns to. In recent years, the number of mass shooting has risen to about one mass shooting per day in the United States. The country is divided with some wanting to reevaluate our gun control laws and either ban or add additional regulations to the purchase of guns. Others say it is our right for Americans to own guns and something the founding fathers considered important to put in the Bill of Rights. The number of firearm sales has risen with the number of mass shooting many Americans question if banning guns or certain guns could help decrease the number of gun violence deaths.
