The 1966 NFL season was a exciting moment in America considering millions of Americans watch the NFL today. The Packers outstanding Season and Championship led them to the Super Bowl where they were favored to win. One of the biggest events that happened in the 1960’s was the first super bowl which was a spectacular event for any sport fans. The NFL was founded in 1920 and this was the first Super Bowl and this is the Packers season and championship that helped them reach it. The most important factor to help Green Bay achieve the Championship was the astonishing regular season the Packers had. If it wasn’t for the Packers success in the regular season they wouldn’t reach, let alone win the Super Bowl. The Packers top standing helped lead them to the championship. The Packers led the NFL going 12-2 (footballdb). Another reason the Packers did amazing in the regular season was their outstanding players. The Championship in the 1966-67 NFL season was an action packed adventure that led the Packers to their first super bowl win. There were many aspects of this game that helped the Packers win it in a close battle. One of the most important events that took place was the Packers 14-0 lead before the Dallas Cowboys had their first play which gave them momentum the rest of the game (wikipedia). There was also background that led up to this game. This was the 7th winning season in a row for the Cowboys and it was the second season to end in January(wikipedia).
