How do you allow God to take control of your life and entrust that everything will be okay? This was the type of question author Anne Lamott (2006) baffled with in these next few chapters. Lamott (2006) shares her personal life story of entrusting God in her book Traveling Mercies: Some Thoughts on Faith. This paper will provide a summary of chapters two thru four, combined with a personal reflection, and conclude with a few desired questions that ideally could be answered by Lamott.

In the court case of Tempel Anneke, many social and economic factor determined the outcome of her trial. Was it the misfortune of the people in her community that she was unable to help, or the fact that she was known to be a very powerful healer? Could it also have been that she was not part of the norm of society based on her characteristics of the general woman figure she portrayed in the 1600’s? Through the analysis of, The Trial of Tempel Anneke: Records of a Witchcraft Trial in Brunswick, Germany, 1663’s court transcriptions the details will show how these social and economic factors played such an important part in the trial that convicted her to death.

Using different points of views to get a various amount of opinions on an event that happened in the book. Kingsolver implements this in her book using the four girls and Orleanna. This gives the reader a vivid image of what is going on between every narrator telling their side of the story.
Esther is a Jewish name, which means ‘star’, which the Persian or Babylonian form is Hadassah, meaning ‘myrtle’. The name Esther may also have a connection to the name of the common Semitic goddess, Ishtar. In the Hebrew Scriptures the book occurs in the third section among the Five Scrolls (Megilloth), which were read at the great feasts. Esther was read at the Festival of Purim (Lots). The story of Esther began at a banquet at the court of the Persian king, Ahasuerus, usually thought to be the emperor Xerxes.
Watching the movie of Odyssey makes me realize of what great love is. Odyssey makes me realize that love is not much an inevitable ending as it is the beginning that will happen. It is what you do with what you begin that helps to determine your future. So we must design and pursue our destiny. We prove that promises is not made to be broken.
No matter the situation, honesty is always the best option. In book seven of “The Odyssey”, Odysseus does a very good job of being honest with everyone he meets along his journey. He’s doing this because he knows that if he tells the truth, it could get him a step closer to being home with his family. This shows that honesty goes a long way. “As much as it pains me to recall it, all I have told you is true.”
Famed author J.R.R Tolkien once claimed that “fantasy is escapist, and that is its glory. If a soldier is imprisoned by the enemy, don 't we consider it his duty to escape? If we value the freedom of mind and soul, if we 're partisans of liberty, then it 's our plain duty to escape, and to take as many people with us as we can!” Yes, fantasy literature and films often act as a conduit to allow humans to escape the pitfalls of their own existence, if only for a minute. Yet, often fantasies provide audiences with a depiction of the culture they exist in.
Anne Frank was a Jewish girl that lived during the Holocaust. She wrote a diary that was found after the Holocaust ended. One of her most famous quotes was, "Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart. " This quote truly demonstrated her belief that mankind shows kindness and compassion toward one another. In her various quotes, we can find many reasons for her belief that man is overall good to one another.
In the National Geographic article, A Life Revealed, it describes the interesting story of the woman behind the infamous 1985 cover of one of the issues of a National Geographic magazine. Readers of that issue instantly locked into Sharbat Gula’s majestic eyes and felt sympathy for her. As the article further discusses, Gula’s life was ravished by wars in the Middle East. Some of the more prominent hardships were: her child dying in infancy, the bombings, all the times she was forced to move to a new refugee camp, and her not being able to spend winters with her husband due to asthma. The overall theme of the article is that Gula’s life was bullied by others choices, predominantly mens.

The Absolutely True Diary is the life story of a Arnold Spirit (Junior) and his efforts to break the stereotypes about Indians.
This story is abut a girl that was writing her daily days while she was in the holocaust She was venting her fears and frustrations, and contemplating her everyday life. She was given the diary as a present from her parents in 1942, and named it Kitty. Through her diary writing, Anne Frank was in many ways her own counsellor in a time of great suffering and tribulation. She realized that writing down her thoughts and feelings could help her cope with the anxiety of the war and Nazi persecution.
INTRODUCTION The authority of the Scripture is fundamental to evangelical faith and witness. But at the same time, not all evangelicals affirm the inerrancy of the scripture. Biblical inerrancy affirms that the biblical text is accurate and totally free from error of any kind. The difficulty in affirming the inerrancy of scripture does not seem to be so much on the spiritual and moral teachings of the Bible, however, the difficulty perhaps seems to emerge on the issue of accuracy in other disciplines such as history, science and acheology.
In this book report I will talk about the story “The diary of Anne Frank” the story is about a Jew girl called Anne who lived with her family in Germany in the second world war when a new German president called Adolf Hitler came with the idea that all Jew people were dangerous ; so her dad Otto Frank who worked in a bank came with the idea of moving to Amsterdam, Holland to be safer from the German army called the Nazis. Anne was a little girl who lived with her family: Otto Frank her dad, Margot her sister and Edith her mom. For her birthday in June 12 her father gave her a diary were she wrote everything that happened. Days later bad news came, a new German president called Adolf Hitler came with the idea that all Jew people is dangerous
Can someone’s loyalty to you change the way you treat them? In the Book of Ruth, Ruth’s loyalty to Naomi and God gave her what she wanted which is a husband. Loyalty was presented in so many ways in this book. Ruth was not only loyal to Naomi and God, but Boaz was loyal to Ruth by going to marry her through every circumstance. Those are the 3 instances in the story where loyalty is prominent.
