Physical activity can be viewed in a more holistic manner where not only fitness is developed but also broader skills to be used in a multitude of areas. Experiential learning is this learning through physical activity and explains the cycle of learning through action and experience. Individuals can gain benefit by applying concepts and knowledge and utilise skills such as; communication, cooperation, leadership, negotiating skills and trust, in activities often problem based or challenging, that give the opportunity to develop through practise and reflection. The development of participant skills of communication and trust can be seen in the initiative activity of the Blindfolded Obstacle Course that was performed in the group task.
