Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg have once again crafted another film filled with action, drama, humor, and stupidity. This film will definitely have you falling out of your seat. Not only is The Interview a humorous comedy, but it also highlights a major international issue, making this movie relevant in the contemporary.

The Interview talks about the harsh realities of the dictatorship in North Korea. For example, the movie portrays North Korea as a place without food where only the wealthy will strive. It does this by posing as a parody, or making fun of the North Korean culture. In this film the Supreme leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, is planning to send a nuclear bomb to the United States. The future of the United States now lies in the hands of Dave Skylark and Aaron Rapoport, creators of the new hit TV show, Skylark Tonight. When they are called upon by the CIA, or as Aaron Rapoport would say “honey potted,” they are asked to take out the supreme leader. Here’s the catch, it’s under the CIA’s terms. Once they travel to North Korea, Dave begins to rethink the promise that they made to the CIA, because Kim Jong-un seems like a “cool” guy. That being said this movie isn’t only for people who only enjoy comedy, but rather a wide range of viewers. The audience definitely has to be one that can withstand a great amount of idiotic humor. From the scenes where Dave skylark gets “honey potted”, meaning was played, to the comical and idiotic conversations between Dave Skylark and Kim Jong-un. For example, Kim saying “you know what’s more destructive than a nuclear bomb?… words” (imdb.com). This movie definitely has one rolling on the floor.
