Do you know how important it is for people to get into their dream college? Did you know that some teens will stop at nothing to get into the college of their dreams? This week, I’m finishing up reading Alexa Donne’s book called The Ivies; the book has 337 pages in it. The most popular girls in school are all aiming to go to different Ivy League schools and these girls are willing to do anything to get into the school of their dreams. The main character Olivia applies to one of the other girls’ schools and ends up getting in, but Avery doesn't. Avery ends up finding out a girl named Emma got into Harvard and she ends up dead the next day. Emma thought that Avery would be happy for her once she told Avery she got into Harvard but instead, Avery fought her and started accusing Emma of stealing her spot. The next day, Emma was found dead. Do you think Avery killed her to get Emma’s spot at Harvard? Well, Olivia is going to try to find out who is responsible for Emma’s murder. She’s searching for answers when she concludes that someone is trying to frame her. She kept trying to look for the killer, and she would’ve left it alone, if her future didn’t depend on it. Later on, after all this detective work Olivia was doing, she ended up finding out that Tyler was the only one who murdered anyone for admission. Olivia at the beginning of the story thinks that Avery is the one who murdered Emma. She’s scared for her life because she honestly doesn’t know if she’s gonna be the next one dead, all over an Ivy League school. She searches around, trying to look for Emma’s killer so she’s not next. After all this digging and searching, she finds out someone has been trying to frame her this whole
