The Casey Anthony case is the trial of Casey Anthony for the death and murder of Caylee Anthony. The two parties in this case are Casey Anthony against the state of Florida. The trial is a criminal case because it is involving a murder of a child. The trial was originally heard in state court. Although Casey Anthony plead not guilty on the first degree murder charge, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter of a child, she was convicted of the misdemeanor which was giving false information to the police and authorities and was given 4 consecutive years of jail time (one year per count) and was fined 1,000$ for each of her four counts (4,000$ in total).

This case starts off with a sweet little six-year-old girl named Jonbenet Ramsey. She was born on August 6th, 1990, into a wealthy and loving home with her parents, John and Patricia Ramsey, and her sibling, Burke. While her father John had been previously married and had children with his previous wife, they weren't very involved in Jonbeneth’s life. This case quickly gained attention due to Jonbeneth’s small age, the gruesome causes of her death, and the amount of wealth attracted to the family. Things took a turn for the worse when she was found dead in the basement of the family home.

Jodi Arias Unjust Murder On June 9, 2008, thirty year old Travis Alexander was found murdered in his home in Mesa, Arizona. He had been stabbed twenty seven times, his throat slashed, and shot in the forehead by his ex girlfriend, Jodi Arias. On the day of the murder Arias claims she went to Travis’s house to see him and while taking pictures of him in the shower, she accidentally dropped his camera. From there Travis starts screaming at her and abusing her.
The body of innocent six-year-old child JonBenet Ramsey was the primary evidence of her murder. Due to the Ramseys reporting JonBenet missing and police being aware that most reported missing children are located in or around their homes, they were instructed to search their own home. The Ramseys discovered a point of entry in their basement, where they found broken glass and forced entry. Patsy Ramsey, the mother, discovers a lengthy ransom letter demanding money for the return of JonBenet. Additionally, it is discovered later that the ransom letter is written inside the home.
Once the crime was investigated, the police did not hesitate to arrest Travis’s ex-girlfriend/lover, Jodi Arias. Jodi was taken to trial on January 8th of 2013. Days later, the prosecutor, Juan Martinez, show the judge and the rest of the court room nude photographs of Arias and of Travis’s dead body. Two mega cases would be the Jodi Arias Case and the Casey Anthony one. In the Jordi Arias case, Arias was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for the murder of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander. She killed him at his home by stabbing him 27 times, slicing his throat and shooting him in the head. She changed her story several times. She initially denied the killing but later admitted to it, claiming it was self-defense.
Jodi said the reason why she acted in self-defence was because after Jodi dropped Travis’ new camera he became violent. If she didn’t act in self-defence and killed him then she would be the one dead and not Travis. When she acted in self-defence she ran to Travis’ closet and grabbed the .25m caliber gun and shot him (Gail, 2015). During her testimony Jodi also said the she was a liar. Arias said “Lying is something I do and the lies that I told were to protect Travis’ reputation (David, 2013).”
