Survive. That’s all you need you need and try to do. The world feels as if it’s coming to an end and you just want to be alive at the end of it all. However, as time goes by, your life becomes worse and at that point you really don’t know what to do anymore. It’s just complete chaos. The Kill Order(prequel to the Maze Runner series), by James Dashner has written a science-fiction/action book that contains a twisted world, twisted thoughts, and a twisted story. This story is placed into the future of our world in a way, where there are many types of new and unique inventions. However, I would say there wasn’t really a main setting because the characters were just everywhere. For example: there were in a forest, then a flying contraption, after a community, and off to other places. There was not one main setting or place that the characters spent most of their time at. The main characters are Mark and Alec. I would say that Mark is a dynamic character. Though the story kept switching back from the past to the present, I could see that Mark was a little different from his past self. When the story would go back to his past, I could see that Mark was a quiet and shy guy. I don’t mean that he was the guy that didn’t talk to anyone and was introverted.
