If they were to be rated on a scale of 1-10, the book would be about a 7.5 and the movie maybe a 5.5. The movie was not as intriguing as the book. The book catches ones attention by specifying what goes on very clearly and getting straight to the point, not providing any unnecessary information. Let´s just make this short, simple, and to the point, if you watched the movie you would probably not want to read the book since it did not catch enough of ones attention to be interested. On the other hand, if you read the book first and afterwards watch the movie you probably will not appreciate the movie as much as you did the
Many people, if asked what they would prefer, would prefer to read the book instead of watching the movie. It could be because the movie will always leave some parts from the story out. It seems like directors of the movie always leave out parts from the book, only incorporating the important parts from the story. Some also say that they prefer to leave the descriptions of things in the book up to their imagination. Also, when you are reading the book, you get to read the main characters point of view on things.
The movie is both funny and action packed but the book is more detailed. So I enjoyed the book more. The film forgot a lot of characters and changed many scenes and it really frustrated me. Also in the book you can see more character development. Even though the film was not exactly like the book the director did a great job, and this still is one of my favorite movies.
In the tell phone game, a person whispers a word or phrase in someone’s ear. Then that person will tell to the next person and so on and so forth. Once it gets to the last person sometime the word or phrase is either changed or altered. For my Film and Novel Comparison Project I decided to buy a double sided kite to compare the movie and book of, The Kite Runner, by Khaled Hosseini. The reason I bought a finding nemo kite with Dory on it was to compare the characteristics of Dory to the move. The movie of,The Kite Runner, directed by Marc Forster is similar to Dory by being forgetful of key events in the story. Such as Assef he was supposed to be a blond haired blue eyed German with a love for hitler Assef says, “Hitler. Now, there was a leader.
The novel, The Kite Runner, tells a story about two incredibly strong and courageous boys, who have to find their way back from a dreadful thing which they thought they could never forget. The two boys are guided by their father, Baba, who is also looking for forgivness in himself. In the end, all of the boys find redemption for their wrongdoings. One of the boys, Hassan, shows extreme courage from the very beginning of the book.
The book has emotional appeal while this movie is just dull. Commonly, most movie adaptations are rarely ever on par to the original book, and this movie adaptation falls into the same category as the
Movies have come a long way since they were first invented but they don’t come even close to a book. Books have a level of detail that is just remarkable. With TV and movies it’s not hard to understand the story line and the plot, but when reading a book you have to comprehend the words you read to be able to understand the story. Book and movies both can give a lesson, but with a book I think they lesson has a greater impact on the reader. To read a book it sometimes takes days, and in those day you are slowly learning the lesson and gathering detail.
I enjoyed the movie better than the book. It included just the right amount of action scenes, description words, and details from the story. The story was amazing but I like seeing things more than reading them. I usually like the movies better than the book.
The Kite Runner, aggressors evoke guilt and shame in their victims in order to maintain their power, bespeaking the human need to be in control. Characters understand the appeal of power at a young age. Even as a child, Amir manipulates Hassan’s loyalty in order to make himself feel superior. Amir has always felt inferior to Hassan, mainly due to his yearning for Baba’s love.
You are only 10 years old lying in bed when you hear a loud boom. You hear your parents get up and run into your room. From this moment on, you had to grow up way more than you could imagine way faster than most. Both Amir from Kite Runner and Ralph from Lord of the Flies grew up this way. In the novels Kite Runner by Hosseini and Lord of the Flies by Goulding, the authors create the theme of people must grow up in certain situations.
The Kite Runner The film adaptation of The Kite Runner does not diminish the complexity of the story but gives a clear view of what is going on in the book. The main points that will be covered is about loyalty, Hassan did everything that Amir wanted, Baba still took care of Hassan and treated him with things even though Hassan didn’t know that baby was his father and when Amir goes back to Kabul and gets Sohrab ( Hassan’s son) to bring him back to America with him. Hassan did anything and everything for Amir when Amir still lived in Kabul that he asked, even though he was younger than Amir he stood up for both of them, when Hassan used his catty to shoot a stone at Assef in the face, and when Hassan ran the blue kite for Amir after he had
Have you ever watched a movie based on a book that told the exact same story? To me, for some reason, books always seem to be the better one out of the two. I feel that in novels, the author develops the story with as many details as possible, while in movies that aspect doesn’t appear in the same way. There aren’t as many details in films since it has to last for a certain amount of time, but books can last for as many pages as the author would like them to. When I read, the fascinating novel “Beowulf,” I really enjoyed how the author made me use my imagination to create a picture of the world that the characters were living in.
Books vs. Movies The constant battle between watching a movie and reading a book has lead to many disagreements. Many valid arguments can be made in favor of each as well as each having it’s own disadvantages, yet the question still remains unanswered. Books and movies have many similarities and differences when it comes to experience, development, and imagery. To begin, there are a variety of reasons that make movies not as good as books. The experience, the depth, and the imagery are the three main aspects one needs in order to understand why movies are not as good as books.
