Today in “Knight’s Tale” from the Canterbury Tales I read about a Duke named Theseus who was king of Athens. He was a great conqueror. He was away from home a lot because he was off exploring and fighting creatures in foreign lands. He was famous for all the creatures and lands he’d explored and destroyed. They met the next day, Arcite brought armour and weapons for them both. They started fighting, the ground beneath their feet became red with blood. Theseus had planned on going on a hunt that same day. He rode his horse straight for the place where Arcite and Palamon were. He saw them fighting and rode between them stopping them. He did not recognize either of them. He figured out who they were. Palamon the escaped prisoner and Arcite the traitor who had been living in his kingdom for years
