Imagine being told you could not attend a certain school due to the color of your skin. However, this was the way of life for African Americans in the 1950s. The Little Rock School Crisis was an incident in which integration of Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas had caused disputes between government officials and enraged white parents. Nine African American students were set to enter the school in September of 1957 after a court decision allowed whites and blacks to attend the same school.
