The Lost Civil War Prison The video was fascinating because it told the story about one of the largest prisoner of war(POW) camps, camp Lawton. Although this was one of the biggest POW camps it was also lost because it didn’t not have enough information to completely pin point its walls and components. Time Team America were the people doing the research in the investigation of camp Lawton. They were conducting research to find artifacts and pin point where exactly everything in the camp was. The main thing they were trying to find was the base of the camp which is the camp walls. This was their main point because they were trying make a visualization of the camp. They were trying to understand where everything in the camp was. Where the magazine was, where the living quarters were, and where the gate was. I think it was cool to find artifacts and proof that the soldiers and camp were there. Although it’s exciting to find out history it’s terrible to think about what the union soldiers went through. I do agree with the findings they made to a certain point but I was not actually out there digging so I cannot completely be sure. The concerns I mostly had were with the finds they had of the walls they proclaimed to have gotten pieces of. In the video, they pulled stakes or posts out of the water and ground and claimed they were part of the wall around the camp. I feel this is not completely “Factual” because they pulled it out of the water and ground and it apparently had cuts from a tool they would have used in that time. I have a concern with this because the markings could have just been from 150 years of rotting and deteriorating. Also, they took samples of the posts and never told the viewer if they were indeed from that
