The Event I attended was a film called “The Loving”. This event was scheduled on Saturday February 11th at 8pm until 10pm. The film was shown at The University of Akron’s student union. There were about thirty people I believe that attended this film showing.

During this film they were many main points that were presented, I would like to share some of them now. The first main point is showing that this was one of the most important supreme court cases at the time. Working in a hospital as a care giver it’s very important for be compassionate about all my patients to have a little understanding of their needs. Mainly the elderly African Americans have problems with me taking care of them and refuse to except me as their caregiver; therefore, they will only allow an African American caregiver. I never fully understood why they felt or treated us white caregivers the way they did. This film has really helped understand now why they do, and it does not upset me that much. Its helped me be open-minded about the difficulties they
