It is true that there are other reasons that explain Rome’s decline. For example. Political assassinations and natural disasters. However the three reasons above - foreign invasion, legal injustice, and especially military problems - provide the best explanation why Rome finally crumbled in the 5th century
There were many reasons why the Roman empire collapsed. Rome’s empire was in parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa. In 117 CE, Rome was the strongest empire in the world. The empire didn’t exist a few centuries later. The Roman empire collapsed because the population decreased, too many emperors were assassinated, and Rome was too big.
According to Doc B, the Roman soldiers got lazy, and stopped wearing
The first reason that Rome eventually fell was military mistakes. The Romans made two severe military mistakes. The first was their lax approach to gear. Document B states that,”The customary armor began to seem heavy, and the soldiers rarely ever wore it.” Due to these complaints, the generals decided armor wasn’t necessary.
The major reasons for the Fall of Rome were caused by its military mistakes, political instability, and their economic/civic decay. Before these events occurred, Rome was one of the wealthiest and greatest empires. The empire was led by a hero named Julius Caesar who helped Rome conquer land and defeat major rivals. As their government became more powerful as well as its empire, this led to the Pax Romana, a time of peace. The empire was peaceful and relaxed throughout its 3rd, 4th, and 5th century.
But when, because of negligence and laziness, parade ground drills were abandoned, the customary armor began to seem heavy since the soldiers rarely ever wore it. Therefore, they first asked the emperor to set aside the breastplates I chose the military mismanagement for my second reason because the soldiers didn't do what they were supposed to do which was training with their armor on but they weren't comfortable wearing it because it was too "heavy" for them so they asked the emperor at the time if they could train with it off and the emperor said yes so they did train without it on but when war came and they had to put on their helmets and breastplates it was too heavy for them so they tried to battle without the armor on with only a sword which isn't very good because you're risking your life because you don't wanna wear your

One reason for Rome's fall was caused by foreign invasions.
Document B showed " the Romans didn't wear their armor foot soldiers wore breastplates and helmets. But when, because of negligence and laziness, parade ground drills were abandoned, the customary armor began to seem heavy since the soldiers rarely ever wore it." (document B) The reason why I picked this was that, during the wars, the Romans died because they weren't wearing the armor and protection they needed to survive. during the wars they had, they also died because they got shot by arrows without wearing their protection.
The Economy of Rome was a great reason as to why the Empire fell. The Economy of Rome was unstable due to the way the emperors had ruled and their unreasonably mistaken choices, leading to a lack of trade and poverty. The Leadership
The reasons Rome fell Imagine one of the greatest empires in chaos, that is what Rome became. Rome was known throughout Europe as one of the greatest empires to ever be. However, that empire was no more around the year 220 CE. The fall of Rome was caused by many reasons.
Rome has become very weak and almost scared during this time period, to the outsiders Rome might be a big place but they are weakening and I have a feeling that it is going to cause a lot more wars and battles to come. There were a lot of things that stood out to me as being main issues for the fall but three that
This suddenly changed. Rome, a city that expanded to become one of the largest empires in the world, began to slowly disintegrate in the 5th century as a result of its problems. The Roman Empire fell because of three main reasons which are unstable leadership, catastrophic events, and weak government issues. One of the main reasons Rome fell was due to unstable leadership.
While that was happening a civil war was going on. The military was in bad shape and was interfering with the politics. The three Major causes of the the Fall of Rome were Economic Problems, Socico-Politcal problems, and external invasions that lead to the country not being able to protect itself. Economically
Given these reasons, it can be concluded of how Rome fell. Rome was too big and when plagues were brought over and were spread, it decreased the population and hassled the economic life because they didn’t have the resources to pay back the Germanic soldiers. When social and military issues came into play, it led to great cities being lost. Lastly, the reason the contributed the most to the fall of Rome was the weak or selfish emperors and the state being ruined because the government was not following the spirit of past
They thought this because Rome was leaps and bounds ahead of others in military, political, economic, architectural, and technological aspects. But Rome was far from perfect, because of its split in 395 A.D. ancient Rome began falling apart. The things that made it great became its downfall. But there were many important factors that made Rome fall, but the most prominent were military, economic, and religious factors.
