November 13, 1833, Edwin Booth was brought into this world. He was born near Bel- Air, Maryland. His father was a Shakespearean actor, and soon after, he and his two brothers would be to. As a result of his father being an actor, he had very little schooling, although he was a brilliant actor. Edwin was shy, quiet, and introverted as a child, while John was friendly, good natured, and outgoing. Edwin and his brother John were never close growing up, which later would lead to bigger problems. Edwin began his acting career in 1849. During his career, his signature role was Hamlet. He was a very accomplished and recognized actor.
