The Masked Mass Killer Who is the hidden killer in Romeo and Juliet? Who is the real murderer of Juliet and her Romeo? After reading the play, the killer can only be this person who has been right under our noses the whole time. It is evident that Romeo is primarily responsible for the tragedy that struck Verona. Clearly Romeo should be held responsible for the the deaths that occur. The majority of blame for the six deaths in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare rests on Romeo and Romeo alone. He falls too easily in love and his sorrow ultimately leads to this fate. He lets his emotions control him, then he lets them control him and becomes too impulsive. In the opening scene, a sad and depressed Romeo mopes in who had recently been told by the girl that he loves that she wants to be a nun and who doesn’t want to marry. “Out of her favor where I am in love.”-Act 1, Scene 1, Line 161

First off he killed Tybalt, Paris who were killed at his hand. He kills himself because he thinks Juliet is dead and he thinks he cannot live without her. He kills is own mother because after he kills himself she dies from a broken heart. Mercutio dies defending him. And poor innocent Juliet, after she sees her love dead on the floor she doesn’t know what to do. She deceived her father, Paris (the man she said she’d marry) is dead. And now she has no where to go, no where to run all because Romeo killed himself. He could have lived on without Juliet he got over Rosaline within a day! He was just simply being selfish. Furthermore, Romeo is to blame for the six deaths that take place. For these reasons, Romeo should be held responsible for the deaths he caused either at his hand or indirectly.
It is clear that responsibility must be placed on Romeo for the deaths that tragic week. In conclusion, his teenage emotions and his impulsiveness and lovestruck emotions caused the deaths of the six people including
