A 16-year-old young adult awakens in an elevator he later discovers is known as the "box." He has no memory of his prior existence or of his family. All he remembers is his name, Thomas. The grievers were everywhere in the Glade. Then one griever climbed the side of the homestead and came inside and took a Glader. Which is when they find out that the grievers will do this every night until all the Gladers die or escape. When they leave the homestead the next day they are in shock at what they see. It was the map room someone had gone in and burned all of the maps. It was Alby.
