I believe that throughout the Miracle worker Captain Keller, James Keller and Kate keller begin to have a different view on annie Sullivan during the course of the play, though james doesn’t really show it. Captain Keller was not really pleased with annie in the beginning of the play but later he learns to realizes that annie is the only person who can help helen 's ability to learn. Captain keller’s initial displeasement with annie was first shown when kate keller informed Captain keller that annie is partially blind and she is suppose to teach helen as stated on page 29 in the miracle worker. This further proves that Captain keller didn 't really approve of annie when she first started to work for the kellers. And though Captain keller didn’t really like approve of annie at first he soon realized that annie is the only person who can teach helen. Captain keller even says it himself when he is speaking to annie in the cabin, on page 91 keller says “We are more than satisfied, you’ve done more than we ever thought possible, taught her constructive things to do , to behave like -even look like-a human child ,so manageable, contented, cleaner”this is a big change for keller because near the beginning keller seemed to dislike annie but know he seems to have some respect and admiration for her. This clearly shows that the Captain began to have a different view on annie as a person since the beginning of the play. James keller doesn’t really show a difference in his view
