What I think the misfit meant by "Jesus thrown everything off balance" is that before Jesus sacrificed himself every person was held accountable for their actions at a higher extent. After Jesus the sacrificial lamb died on the cross everyone had a second chance, redemption, and mercy. The Misfit obviously didn't agree with this, because whatever the punishment was for our sins they would never be equivalent to what it would have been before Jesus. Jesus sacrificing himself was not they way life was supposed to be or at least to the Misfit what it was meant to be. The Misfit goes on further to say that he didn't believe that his punishment fits his crime. He doesn't think that committing a crime matters since people believe that they can confess
