The Narrator
In both of the texts, there is a narrator in the movie with them both being 1st person and looking into that person’s point of view. However, in boy 21’s case, the narrator is talking about himself meaning what he is going to do and how have things around him affected him, while the castle’s narrator is talking about what his father is thinking and how he is going to feel when certain thing happening to him. So the difference is one of the narrators is the main protagonist and one is not but both of them are characters in their own text. the narrator for boy 21 is more complex when compared to the castle due to the fact that the narrator for the castle is narrating his simple father judging from his facial expression and quoting what he says, while not understanding the character and the narrator for boy 21 will talk about his responsibilities and what he will have to do and what he wants to do and how he feels about doing it making the protagonist a lot more 3D when compared to a more simplistic style of narrating of the castle.

Both of the authors did great with the tone of their work, with the castle being filled with a stupid and comedic to outline how the movie is a light-hearted movie of a simple family. On the other hand the tone of boy 21 is very frustrated, the anger and confusion was there when everything was going wrong, this gave the reader the determination and how the narrator wanted to know how he felt at that moment, after a while the tone for boy 21 changes to a calmer tone meaning that the protagonist is going to sort things out and adapt to the situation. unlike the castle which made the characters really 2d when
