Globalization
Globalization has had a huge impact on the United States and other countries. Globalization is the spreading of political, cultural, and economic influences and connections among countries, businesses, and other means. Globalization began in the 1st century when the Europeans began to penetrate other parts of the world. It is based on the domination of extending a country's power and influence through diplomacy or military force. Globalization has increased the ability of trade, technology, and cultural diversity.
In the 20th century, globalization advanced and communication became more in-depth with the internet and cell phones evolving. This allowed the companies and individuals to network together. Technology allowed people …show more content…

This allowed a change with racial and ethnic compositions of the nation. Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 led the immigrants to come into the United States. When the Cold War ended, this allowed the U.S military and other people to learn about the United States and form relationships. Therefore, this allowed immigrants to come to the United States, which made an expansion in different cultures. For example there were sushi bars, Spanish language stations on television, and the international sport soccer became popular. While they were here in the United States, they took low paying jobs even though they were highly skilled in areas. Moreover, George W. Bush made an improvement of public education. Subsidizing prescription drugs, and made tax cuts. The tax cuts led to a financial crisis at the end of Bush’s presidency which sent the economy into recession. In 2000, the tax cuts promoted economic growth and the economy came out of recession and recovered. Along with the process of making public education better, Bush supported the No Child Left Behind Act of 2002. The No Child Left Behind Act requires every school to meet annual testing to continue receiving federal aid. Then after supported that act, he signed a bill allowing elderly to receive prescription drugs and expand the Medicaid system. This allowed people get their medicine without paying so much money to get them, but this allowed people to not get help with their medical bills from going to the hospital for
