When I was a kid, I remember living on a ranch and seeing cattle every morning I woke up going to the bus stop. I remember asking myself, “What happens to the cattle when they are loaded on to the trailers’. Once I got older, I learned that the cattle were transported to be slaughtered and after that they are shipped. The beef is shipped not only in the United States but also to foreign countries like Japan. The exportation of beef to Japan will now be brought to a slight fault due to Japan Financial Ministry making a decision to increase tariffs on US beef. The tariff has increased from 38.5% to 50%.
