Franchise Value and Revenue
Value
Purchased in 1997 for $195 million, the New York Rangers’ current value is at
$2.2 billion, the highest of any other NHL team for the eighth year in a row, according to
Forbes (2022). Valued at only $850 million in 2013, the number has almost tripled over the past ten years. Consistently, the franchise’s value increased each year and had a
10% increase from 2021 to 2022. This can be due to a variety of reasons, including promotion of their brand, and an increase in ticket sales as the team made it to the 2022
Eastern Conference Finals, which led to an increase in advertisements and sponsorships. Another reason why the Rangers team value has increased drastically over time is due to changes …show more content…

NBA star Lebron James of the LA Lakers has many current deals with large companies such as Nike, Blaze Pizza, and State Farm Insurance, totalling $42M a year, making him one of the highest sought after endorsers.
Ever since entering the league, Lebron has partnered with the Nike brand and it has grown ever since. Improvements to the Game
Changes to the MLB
Lasting over three hours, baseball games can be tiring for even the most diehard fans. As commissioner of Major League Baseball (MLB), I would initiate innovative ideas to shorten games. Instead of nine innings, the game would consist of seven innings, and instead of three outs per inning, there would be two outs each inning.
Multiple pitcher changes and mount visits would not be permitted, as teams would be limited to only one per inning. Finally, I would allow each team to start with a man on second base in the last inning, speeding up games while making them more fun.
Changes to the NFL
Every year, multiple players in the NFL get concussions resulting in long term effects on their body or even paralysis. Consequently, the NFL gets sued by the athletes who suffer from such head injuries as oftentimes these damages were avoidable. In
2013 the NFL agreed to pay $765 million to settle a lawsuit brought by more than 4,500 players and their families and had paid out almost $1 billion in claims, according
