The documentary will essentially explore the passionate routine of Janet, a trained professional dancer, as she passes on her wisdom to others as she faces aging. Moments where Janet even walks away from class are heartbreaking as she knows pushing her body too hard nearing the end of her career could result in a unrecoverable injury. She even has moments of rage and anger for her body is not moving as she wishes. The film will explore how Janet, although it can be extremely hard at times, has to alter her routine dramatically. The film will also follow the story of the upcoming professionals trained by Janet through interviews. As Nutcracker season is in full swing, most young dancers are too caught up in the moment to realize the wonderful teaching behind the beauty of the production. Once asked to reflect, the dancers will give extreme respect and thanks to Janet as they work hard in the studios. The camera will then follow Janet and all the dancers to the Merrill Auditorium in Portland Maine as they finally begin to rehearse on stage. The surreal reality Janet faces as she watches from the wings is shocking but it doesn't stop her from continuing to correct the dancers.
