Actually, the owners are the former mayor and his wife. Also, The Nutcracker’s employees and regulars give it its name of ‘The Nut’, or if you work here we call it ‘The Nut House’.”
With Pataskala being a miniscule town about thirty minutes away from Columbus, The Nutcracker is a quaint, small-scale restaurant. Are the regulars a big part of business or is it mostly intriguing outsiders?
“At least 20 people from the same group come every morning some sit in small groups to catch up and others sit at the bar and talk to staff. There is one man in particular that comes in every day two to three times to eat. Also, every Friday we have a group of motorcyclists come in for lunch. If we did not have regulars we would not have business.” says Rachel.
I then asked, “What is the most popular thing to eat at The Nutcracker?” She then replied,“Well, the menu is pretty large, we have a variety of choices for every choices for every palate.
