The one who walk away from omelas Why does the omelas is seen as story of uptopia but is not perfect. A good life is what everybody wants. An life where everything is perfect. But everybody has an different ideas of a good life regarding to it's good or bad experiences. Every experience we encounter we tend to grow and mature from our former selves. The One who realized life is not a fairy tale tent to make out to be able to make sense of reality. As to some people think more about themselves and then some want to help other. But long as you satisfied with your decision your happy with life. " all smile gave become archaic" . Sex is something that people sometimes use as an escape; the people of Omelas embrace this and engage in sexual activities all the time. The narrates is using sex as symbol for escape and the narrator is telling the reading to think that people feel guilty inside but they don't show it. Throughout the story the narrator gives us the space to think and imagine. In the story some people choice to walk away because it looks as an easy option because it's ethical thing to do if you are living in Omelas is to walk away if there is nothing you can do to help the child. So walk away from Omelas have morals and cannot deal with living a life of happiness, if it means another person is miserable. And every person who walk in quiet protest, going “through the beautiful gates” and farmlands, “to a place even less imaginable to most of us than the city of happiness” (7). The narrator seems to find the dilemma at Omelas to be acceptable, as he calls those who leave “incredible” (6), saying that he “cannot describe it at all,” but “they seem to know where they are going” (7). it's too much to ask for everyone to give up the niceties to save one person from a life of torture and suffering They just walk away to more peaceful guilty free society.
