“Who’s gonna make me?” I heard Dallas Winston yell as I walked closer to the group around Cherry. Apparently Cherry and Dallas had been arguing before I walked over there it was something about he wouldn’t get his feet off of her chair or something like that. I politely called to Cherry, “Mom and dad told me to ask what time you think you’d be home.” “Just tell them a few hours,” Cherry said loudly as Dallas stormed off. Ponyboy gave a startled look… “Mary, you and Cherry are sisters?” He asked. Pony’s question brought back many memories about how the Vallance family took me in when I had nobody there for me, so I shrugged trying not to be rude and simply turned around and started walking home with my head down.

She asked me if I wanted to go with her, but I politely denied as she walked out the door. I knew where she was going, it was to see Pony to talk about tonight’s rumble. Cherry and I didn’t really care too much about that kind of stuff, but she was considered the spy for the greasers. She helped tell everyone the rules and how they were going to fight. Tonight’s rumble involved no weapons just fists.
As the week came to an end, we had lost Johnny and Dally it was very devastating. Johnny past from the severe burns, and we lost Dally because he was shot by the police. The reason he was shot by the police is because Dally was really close to Johnny and when he past everyone was really depressed especially Dally. Dally had always carried a gun that wasn’t loaded, but he had finally lost it. He had been in a store and the man who worked at the store told him he had to pay for the magazine he was looking at but instead he took the magazine and held the gun up to the man and took the stores money. He had been running from the cops because after Dally ran out the man called the cops. Dally had called Pony and the gang from a payphone and was a nervous wreck he told them to meet him. When they finally got to where Dally was the cops had already been there. Dally pulled out his gun and held it at the officers, but keep in mind it wasn’t loaded. Sadly the officers didn’t know that and they shot Dally. He feel to the ground and that’s when they knew they had lost him too. That week was by far the craziest week for all of
