The climax of “The Outsiders” is when Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dallas saved the children from the burning church. I think this was the climax of the story because when they enter the building all you can do is read more and you can’t put the book down. Also, each page leaves you on edge and a lot of things are happening. I think the resolution to the climax in the paragraph preceding is after the fire and Johnny and Dally are in the hospital. Everything calms down a bit even though their friends are in the hospital. Some of the gang members go to see them in the hospital and Pony goes to see Johnny. He realizes if Johnny dies Dally will have nothing left. Because he has no family and he always thought of Johnny as a brother. Johnny was visited
