To start off, I liked this book because it was constantly intriguing me. Unlike other books, it never had a point where I felt bored. Filled with constant ups and downs, it always made me wonder what would happen next. To add on, although containing a great number of characters, it was easy to keep up with, and not all over the place. Furthermore, I really enjoyed the message of this book. I could really connect with the problems of the Greasers. It really helped me understand a new perspective of the world I have never experienced before. Overall, this book will attract people who like non-stop action. It will never let you feel not entertained. Additionally, you will learn and experience a whole other perspective on life. "If we don't have each other, we don't have anything, " (Hinton 176). This quote remains my favorite quote for various reasons. First off, I can relate a lot to this quote. Friends and family exist as everything in my life. They have immense value and create my happiness in life. I believe that if one does not have another person by their side, life exists greatly challenging for them. Additionally, this quote summarizes the greasers' connection throughout the whole book in one sentence. They all had each other's backs. For example, Ponyboy stayed with Johnny through the whole running away situation even though he did not have to. Thus, this quote remains my favorite because I can connect with it very well
