William Shakespeare wrote a tragic love story Romeo and Juliet where two star-cross’d lovers fall in love and take their lives. It is shown throughout the play that Romeo and Juliet overreact about each other which leads them to make poor choices. Romeo, Mercutio, and Benvolio end up sneaking into the Capulet's party when he sees the love of his life Juliet. This then leads onto when Juliet is talking to the nurse about how she must marry Romeo. Later on Romeo gets into trouble which ends up with him being abolished away for a couple hours. Juliet then fakes her death so that when Romeo is done with his sentence they can “run away” and live a free life together. For I ne’er saw true beauty till this night.”(1.5.59) Romeo is quoting that he has never seen anyone as beautiful as Juliet in his life which proves my thesis in saying that Romeo is overreacting about never seeing anyone as beautiful as Juliet. Later in the play we see Juliet overreact about her love for Romeo. Throughout the play it is constantly displayed that Romeo and Juliet believe that they must be together or that if one dies the other shall die as well. After the party we see Juliet talking to the nurse about Romeo, Juliet shares how deeply she feels about Romeo. As she talks to the nurse, she says “My grave is like to be my wedding bed.” (1.5.149) Here we notice her expressing her feelings about how she will die unmarried if Romeo is married.
