Reaction Journal 4 There is nothing called “perfect”. Nothing and nobody will ever be perfect. If there was something called “perfect”, then the world would be a very good place to live in filled with peace. In my opinion if there was a perfect world then there would be no heaven. There would be no hell under us either. Also, there would be no countries the world would become only one place. There would be nothing to kill or die for. What if there wasn’t religion so we wouldn’t have wars over it, because we can’t accept each other. A perfect world would not have people that are living in greed or hunger. There shouldn’t be money at all, because it 's another thing that most of us fight over. If the world was like that then we would be living all as one. …show more content…
In this community the government controls everything so that it’s more perfect. In this word they have eliminated all fear, war, hatred, and fear. They have eliminated choice. At the age of twelve they get a job assigned to them according to their interest. All the people in the community are the same and they are unfailingly polite. The old people that can’t do anything live in the House of the Old until they are “released”. To them death is not a good word so they say “released.” They think of death as the old are going th Elsewhere and new children are born. In the second half of The Giver by Lois Lowry, they choose Joans to as the receiver. The Giver transmits recollections by setting his hands on Jonas ' exposed back. The main memory he gets is of an invigorating sled ride. As Jonas gets recollections from the Giver—recollections of delight and agony, of brilliant hues and amazing frosty and warm sun, of energy and fear and appetite and adoration he understands how insipid and vacant life in his group
