I believe the plebeians were important to Rome for a few reason. The plebeians were instrumental in the war and in the army’s numbers to defend Rome for being taken by its enemies or the nearby Latium towns. Also I would think that them being the working class, that their taxes were important to the city. Plebeians could be observed as the working class or commoners who lived outside of the walls of the city (Morey, 1901).Their only rights after the abolishment of the kingship was the right to vote and the right to property/contract.
They made houses on hammocks. Hammocks are islands of thick forests. They built houses called chickees. They are built out of cypress trees. The floor is a platform.
Throughout history, there has been several examples of shifts within the political and economic structures of early era societies. Such shifts are viewed in the Babylonian society under Hammurabi, the Athenian society under Solon as their lawgiver, and, lastly, in the Roman society with Plebeians. The Code of Hammurabi, the reforms of Solon, and the Twelve Tables shared several similarities as well as differences when addressing the issues of class divisions and social hierarchy. Each of them implemented a social stratification alongside several other distinctive standards on their individual societies in the hope to create a peaceful balance. In fact, the elements of socioeconomic status are the prime factors that created this social hierarchy.
Ancient Rome DBQ Many people argue that the culture of the Ancient Romans reflect that of the United States today. While there have been many advancements over the course of the years, a few basic principles still apply and can be seen in the United States today. Although there a few key differences that can be seen between the two cultures, it is important that one focuses on similarities to see how the United States has developed as a whole. Roman culture was similar to what the United States is today by the form of government and types of entertainment.
Patricians were landowners and plebeians were citizens but not landowners. Patricians would vote for senate, who had law making powers. Plebeians elected the assembly, who had advisory power. In the U.S. everyone over 18 is able to vote, whether you are a landowner or not.
The expansion of the Roman Empire led to a greater divide between the rich and poor, a heavy reliance on agriculture, and more war. Those are just a few of the social, economic, and political changes that occurred in the Roman Empire during its expansion. In documents 5, 6, 7, and 9, the social changes of the Roman Empire are brought to light. Document 5 illustrates how the divide between the rich and poor classes widened.

In Rome, much like in other areas of the world, there were specific times of day where people would dedicate themselves to eating. The times of day were similar to what is seen now in America, with a meal taking hold in the morning, midday, and evening. Though the meals evolved and changed as the empire itself did, one can look at the different meals and be able to make connections between them and those of today’s importance. Commonly in Rome the first acknowledgeable meal would be called ientaculum. It was not extraordinary and some citizens of the empire forwent it entirely.
Patricians are the higher class and they are wealthy. Also, they are the only ones allowed to be in the government. Their percentage of the population is a small junk of Rome. To be a patrician, you had to have been given birth by a patrician. Now the plebeian on the other hand is every other person in Rome.
A significant issue discussed thoroughly by Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump was abortion. Personally, I found that Hillary more effectively explained and supported her policy position on abortion. The topic of abortion was introduced by Trump after he stated he would appoint Supreme Court justices that are pro-life and would protect the Second Amendment. Moderator Chris Wallace asked if he would specifically like to see Roe v. Wade overturned in court. In response, Trump did not sufficiently answer the question and placed authority of the decision to his appointed judges and to the individual states.
They exercised great political and religious power. On the other hand, the plebeians were a free Roman and were a common group of people that include the poor and that wealthy land owner. We can notice that the majority of them from the wealthy, but they were ordinary citizens not elite. They worked in agriculture, construction, selling, and crafts. The distinction between patricians and plebeians in Ancient Rome was so big, for example, no one could become a patrician simply by acquiring wealth or political power

The Roman Republic served as a model for many modern democratic systems, including the United States. Despite lasting for over 500 years, the Republic ultimately declined and was replaced by the Roman Empire. While many factors contributed to its fall, one of the most significant was political corruption. The Roman Republic was founded on a complex system of checks and balances, with power distributed among various offices and assemblies (Tatum, 2013).
The magistrates and tribunes… were the only ones who could place legislation before the voters.” The small percent of citizens that actually did vote in Ancient Rome were spoon-fed their candidates by higher ups like the magistrates in
Ancient Rome was a great empire. Of course all great empires, in order to stay in power, must provide for the common good of the people. In order to do this, Rome needed to provide Public Service, protect the people’s rights, promote rule of law, prepare a common defence, and support the economic system. The Romans did very well when it came to providing Public Service. The Romans created Aqueducts; commonly known as a plumbing system so that the people could have running water, indoor plumbing, public water fountains, baths, and a sewer system.
