The Policy Process is a process used to solve issues and better the life of our citizens. The Policy Process has six main parts to it: Identifying the Problem, Agenda Setting, Formulating the policy, Adopting the policy, Implementing the policy and Evaluating the policy. “Congress, the President, the Cabinet, advisers, agency bureaucrats, federal and state courts, political parties, interest groups and the media all play a part that interact to make political decisions in the United States.” (Policy Making: Political Interactions). The belief is considered through many levels, even through the broad political system agenda. Government officials, interest groups and media all take a big role in agenda setting. Agendas are usually changed when a new president is elected. When a crisis happens, it almost always re-prioritizes issues. Agenda Setting soon leads to Formulating the policy. After the problems have been identified and put on an agenda, a policy is brought up as a solution to the problem. This step contains conflicting ideas from different political groups. Policy establishments must be approved through congress and civilized through the bureaucratic process. The fourth part of the policy process is Adopting the policy. When the plans are granted, a policy is approved by decision-makers. When a president signs an executive order or the Supreme Court takes on a big case it usually leads to policy adoption. Policy is usually assembled by several steps observed by different people, and eventually, turning into a policy. After adopting the policy, the policy gets implemented. Policies are achieved by administrative agencies in the executive branch, though courts have a right to say something in decisions that are being made. Agencies show several examples that the techniques are successful. People can be disciplined if they do no not obey the policy.
